My back pain seems to have subsided. I was woken up by it this morning, it caused an uncomfortable nights sleep. However throughout the day it seemed to diminish. I can turn my neck comfortably.
I have been consulting with a lawyer and she is very alarmed with the u-turn not being noted in the accident report. I will be heading to the 88th precinct in the morning to point out this discrepancy and find out how it can be rectified.
I am slightly worried about how my face is healing. The scab comes off every day and I just don't understand how that is healthy.
I am haunted by the feeling that something is about to smash into my cheek.

I went to open the window in my living room and I turned just slightly and was off balance. I felt a sharp pain in my back as i tried to regain my stance. The pain was in between my shoulder blades on the left hand side deep in the muscle.
Several times I have relived crashing into the car and it feels like my whole body just crumples up as if I was a coke can being crushed. I can feel the most crumpled part is my upper back.

Due to the accident there was a missing patch of skin about 1mm deep. There was no need for stitches as there was nothing to stitch, but I still needed advice on wound care. I wanted a doctor to look at my face as well as my general well being after the accident. I visited Dr Jeffries at 55 Greene St. Dr. Jeffries was very concerned for my face wound, she was very worried about it healing due to a patch of skin that was raised while the rest was gone. Dr Jeffries refered me to a plastic surgeon. I have a follow up visit with her in the next two weeks.

I was riding Northbound on Washington street, probably going about 25 mph due to the fact that I was riding downhill. The light ahead of me was green and I was five car lengths away from the corner of Washington St and Park Ave. The Land cruiser left a parking spot on Southbound Washington and made an illegal u turn, at this point I was two car lengths away from the Land cruiser. The Land cruiser could not complete the u turn because of its size and was forced to back up, they were perpendicular to Washington St at this point. I veered to the left and applied my brakes in order to miss the car, but I crashed in to the rear passenger side of the car at a speed of 5-10 mph.
I asked the driver to call the police and he refused. My friend handed me a bandanna to place on my face as my cheek was bleeding profusely. I had to call the police myself. They arrived on the scene over a half an hour later and interviewed both parties. I was treated by the EMT's for my face wound. I refused being taken to the emergency room. The police interviewed myself and the driver separately. They also interviewed the passenger in the car. They did not interview the two witnesses to the accident who were riding behind me.
The witnesses heard the driver lie to the police concerning the details of the accident. The driver stated that he had been parking. He stated that I struck him from behind and he did not admit to making the u-turn.
